05/31/04	11:30 PM This is a special edition of the blog that I like to call roblog because you see it is a run on blog and you may ask why but you shall fund out soon for I am very tired and sleep is somethign I need however I still have to write in my blog, or roblog, for all my fans who without I would be nothing but a person writign stuff that nobody pays attention to not even the Master and Cammander which is the movie Natalie and I watched last night before getting up and going to work and going home since I had to work but still I hope that tommorow will be a long blog possilby so maybe I'll try to have it out before supper if I'm not to busy and adu i say to all.
05/30/04	6:10 PM Nat and I just got back from a tour thingy. We got out around oneish (slept all morning). Last night we went out to a pub around 9:30 for supper. Before that we had a beer or two and watched the hockey game. The pub was real good. I had a steak and Nat had fish and chips. At the pub we finished watching the hockey game. Calgary won if you did not know. We chit chatted till around 1:30 then we headed home. Once we got back here we basically fell into bed and went to sleep. So this afternoon we walked back over to parliment to see if they had any tickets left for tours. We managed to get one without much adu so we took a tour. It was interesting but could of maybe had a little more content. After that we went up the peace tower (the big clock with the bells for all you non-parliment people). I tooke a few pics. They are up on the site in the album "Nat and I do Ottawa pt2". After that we went to seme photography museum which kinda meh. Then we walked across the bridge into hull, then back around on another bridge to home (which took around 2 hours). So we are both pretty exhausted. I'm going to make some supper then I think we are going to watch a movie and hit the sack since I have to go to work tommorow.
05/29/04	6:30 PM Yes, the rumors are true. I'm an Idiot. So Nat and are wnet out touring right. The second I got out of the door of my place I realized that I had forgot my watch. Then I was like, hmm, maybe I should go get it. Nat had a watch so it never really mattered that I didn't have mine. Butmaybe, just maybe, the fact that I did not have my keys on me, well that might of been a small problem. yes, I locked myself out of my house twice in one week. :-o I'm an allstar of the locking yourself out your house event. Well, when I realized I said whatever, We'll worry about that when we get back. So we went over to the parliment. Tooka few pics. We wanted to go on a tour, but it was late in the day so there were no more tours. Tommorow we are going to go early in the morning and get tickets so we can go on a tour. After that we went for a walk along the river and went to the National Art center for aobut 20 minutes since they were closing. But we saw some stuff so that was ok. Then we cam back and got let back into my place. Yes, and I bought another CD. A cd of Barlow. WOW, 2 cd's in the course of two weeks. That is insane. I may single handedly increase cd sales causing a massive backlash against the CD people who will allow people to download music for free. Yeah right. Well at least I can say know that I acutally do buy CD's that I think are worth it. So RIAA and the canadian counter part, screw off. People download music becuase $15-$25 for a city is crap. They are not worth that much. Your just a big monopoly, almost as bad as the gas prices. Well Nat and I are going to hang around here for a while and then go out for supper around 9:30 to a pub and listen to a band and do some more drinkin an eatin. A legend, A Mystery, A Man. Who was this bearded fellow? Perhaps we will never know the true being that was so hansom and delightfully hairy. Well, Nat and are you going to do some touring. 05/28/04	10:225 PM well this is nat because brett is to lazy to write because he is playing nintendo....and im uselesss on it pretty much, so i showed up here around 3:30 and picked him upi from work. oh and by the way its not ontario drivers that can't drive its ottawa drives they tied to kill me...not cool! Well, It's back to the orignal, the only, the most important person with a blog, the Brettster, Breticus, Brettastic. Yes it is me. So today Phat Nat showed up early. Yes, she did speed, bad Nat. Well anywyas she got here just aro0uond the time that I normally tget5 off work. she is craxy, by the way did I mention that she is ahorrible typer. Rioght now I am typing without looking at the keyboard, but she can't, all she does is hunts and pecks. But yeah, so we went downtown and got us some food, we made som spagetti, mmm, spaghetti. Then we fixed the nintendo, yes we both did, I coudl of never done it without Natalie. She is uber amazing. So we fixed the nintendo, pulled out the rye, and starting playing. We are on the last level but not sure if w3ee are going to finish. Hmm, I think natalie is going to kill up both off as she is playing my guy as I type, oy, I should go so I can beat her. Ttyl.
05/28/04	7:32 AM Ok, Yes the rumors are true. No, I didn't forget you and Yes, I am sorry. I did not intentionally miss yesterdays blog. You see when I got home from work I went out for supper with some friends and didn't get home till about 8:30. I then started playing the game I've been waiting to get all week and watching the hockey game. Lets just say that consumed alot of my time last night. So, between the hockey game (which calgary lost bad by the way, serieso 1-1) and the game I was playing, and talking to Danielle the night went a little to fast. I then went to bed around 12:00. At 11 I had intentions to write in the blog, but I just forgot about it after that from sleep. O Well. But Today Natalie comes to visit me. YAY. But I should get back to my work. TTY all l8ter.
05/26/04	10:08 PM Bear with me, this is going to be a long one me tink. So lets start off with this morning. I left around the normal time, and as I was walking to the bus stop I thought I might of been runnign a little late, then I thought no, I'll just keep walking. So, I kept walking, then when I was almost there I heard a bus coming so I booted it to the bus stop. As I got there the bus stopped. I ran and ran and ran and thought he was going to let me on, but nope, nope he wasn't going to. I was like crap, I'm going to have to walk the last 2 k's to get to work. Just then, like a dash of lighting and the sound of thunder another bus pulls up behind it. I whip out my pass and fling it past the driver, he opens the door and I hope. I tell him to step on it and follow that bus. So me and the bus driver man (mebus) cruised in hot pur suits (mmm, tuxedo, I do like penguins, wadle wadle) of the other bus. Finally just before the stop where the two bus paths seperated there was a bus stop. As we slowed down I got the starting blocks and waited for the gun shot. Then bang the bus backfired and I was off like a bolt of snails. After I managed to get the salt off my shell I leapfrogged to the bus I was sposed to be on. So, I'd like to thank mebus for the excellent bus driving. He could be in the transitway 500 someday. So guy from work was on the bus to and we were talking. Then we got to our stop, and we were waiting, and waiting and waiting. Then the same bus we had been on came again (yes it found a worm hole in time, no stupid, that bus comes every 10 minutes) so then we realized, we were both on the early bus. So in fact I wasn't late, the first bus was just really really behind schedule. Then I worked all day, that went. Came home, at some leftovers from last night, nothing extraudenary. O, there was the cutest baby on the bus. She was so adorable and wouldn't stop staring at me. I was making funny faces at her (the bus was packed) and the guy beside me (who I kinda knew) was like all embaraced. Then the kid would laugh (I think maybe she had gas, or else I forgot to put on deadorant). Ahh, I gotta get me one of those. Well, not permanently, just to borrow for a while. I'll get into that at a later date as the blog is goign to be well long already today. So anyways I had a beach volleyball meeting tonight for my legue. So I trecked half way across the city on the bus and got to the place, which was actually a massize sporting good store. So out team got a speal and all, there was actually only four of use there from our team of 7 or 8, too many people as far as I'm concerned for 4 man beach. We got 20% off anything in the store, and me being a sucker for a good deal and actually planning on buying some stuff, bought a shirt thingy to excerise/bike/run/playv-ball in. It's the one I'm wearing the in the pic. Twas only $40 after rebate. I also bought a thing so I could put my waterbottle on my bike. And then I wanted to buy a camelback, if you don't know what that is ti's basically a backpack, except it holds water (it's not that big). They were only $30 but I decided against it just because I had already bought the shirt. So, happy with my purchase, I took the bus back home. Got home, walked up to my door, felt in my pocket, felt in my other pocket, felt in my other pocket, and the last pockets. Do you see were this is going? Cause if you do you should of freakin called me before hand to remind me to bring my freakin Keys, thanks guys. Yeah, so I locked myself out. Of course, I was hopeing fingers crossed that my roomate was home, but slim chance of that, I havn'ent seen him in 4 days. So I had to the CA and get her to call security so I could get in. It's going to cost me like $10 but whatever, I had to get in. So I kinda feel like a tool for that. But on brighter notes, less than two days till Natalie comes to visit me. YAY. I'm not sure quite what we are donig this weekend, but we will figure it out. O, and also a hello to Becky, now you can't every say that I don't say hi or msg you, cause your in my blog now for all the whole world to see. Mhwa ha ha ha. Gotta make me a phone call or to then off to bed, I have the feeling it's going to be a late night and a early morning. Sleep, sleep where for art thou? Refuse thy daylight and deny my wake. For a sleep lasting longer than the one I will get tonight would smell sweet.
05/25/04	8:20 PM Hey Hey Everybody I'm Brett the blogman. Hows everyone doing today? Well, ir your not doing good smile, it can't hurt. Well, unless you had facial surgery or something. If your having a good day, smile, cuase you probably didn't have facial surgery. why did I bring up facial surgery? Well, I'll tell ya why. After I finished work (where I didn't dop alot today, it was kinda boring since I'm waiting on another pserson before I can do much more) I went to Lablaws to get me some good old fashioned food. I bought a crap load. 3lbs of beef, well, maybe more. Then I bought a whole bunch of chicken boobies. They are are the freezer right now. I'm bet it's be a little nippley in there, brrr. Wow, I do miss Saskatchewan. In Ottawa it rains like almost every day. In Saskatchewan, the farmer pray for rain just about every day, well unless it's seeding time, or unless it's spraying time, or unless it's harvest time. So anywyas, back to my sroty. I got a whole bunch of food form the store. so much I wasn't sure if I could carry it all at once. I was on the bus but I still have I thhink 5 bags in each hand. O well, I got food for a while. So, I came home and cleaned out the freezer. got rid of a while bunch of old food from who knows when. Know there is lots of room to rfreeze bodies. Of cows of course. So, I took the beef and chicken and seperated it all, that took about half an hour to an hour by the time I got everything done. Then I made myself that wonderful meal that you see on top of the screen. MMM stir fry. Then I finished my supper and by the time I was done It was already 7:30. so I did the dishes, grabbed my computer, and turned on the tube to the hockey game. And we play hockey hockey hockey hockey hockey hockey hockey. Then Calgary scored a goal and I was like "YEAAAHHHHHH" and the tampa fans were like "O crap" and I was like "YEAAAHHHHH". Well, that brings me to know. So you know what else I don't like besides facial surgery? People who copy me. I mean my ideas. Like I realize a blog sin't new, but honestly, how many peopel do you know that write blogs that peopel actually read daily (as I'm sure you all do). But no, Jeffry couldn't leave it alone, he had to start his own blog. you think your better than me? what? what's that you say? HUH? That's right, I don't here you. Heh heh heh. Why do I laugh. Well you have been reading my blog for 25 days. What doest that mean? It means it is now officially a habit to read my blog. Yes all you nun loving people, a habbit. Well, that is if you have been reading everyday (and at least 20 of you have been). Also there is only about three months until I get to see Danielle again. I can't wait for that day. MMMM, farmers daughter. I can here my mother already, "People read this", well I hope they do, otherwise I sure waste alot ofmy free time writing in here. Speaking of mom, you know what she told me when I said that the bike paths around the river were like biking in the woods. She told me "just be careful, you never know what's going to jump out of the woods, Like a while ago, this cougar jumped out at a lady and bit half of her face off." I'm like "yeah, in Ottawa". She was like "I don't know, somwhere". So if you live around Ottawa and see any large animals make sure you call somone. Like in Saskatchewan how we call polar bear control if we see a polar bear on our lawn. Lol, ok, so we only tell that to the foriegners, Me and Ira sure did a good job on Kirstin. 05/24/04	8:12 PM I'm all pissy know. Grrr. I say Grrr. So, on friday I had bought a full pass for the tulip festival, $25, rather than a single night pass $15, because I was going to see Wide Mouth Mason, Jacksoul, and Barlow tonight. It was raining all day, whatever. Then I walk half an hour to get to the park, and guess what. They cancelled it. I'm am uber pissed. I paid money to go see them and they cancelled it. Refund I say, Refund. Even worse, I just wanted to see Wide Mouth Mason, screw the money. Grrr. Why is it that people from Ontario are scared of the rain. O no, I might get wet, heaven for bid betsy. Everyone here owns like 17 dozen umbrellas. I realize that it rains a little more often but hey, I've lived here for three weeks and the forcast has been nothing but rain and guess what. I haven't got wet yet. I have never owned an umbrella. There was only ever two umbrella's in our house (one of which was on dads golf clubs). Come on you Ontarians, get over it. Bo ho ho, your going to get wet, suck it up you'll dry off. So i'm in a pissy mood. But I did find another good concert. Evanescence, Seether, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin (one of my favorites). The tickets are lik $45 which is reasonable but then, o of course, they add $11 of fees. Like come on, $11??? for what? You even have to pay extra to get them printed. So your looking at $15 for a ticket before you even buy the ticket, how stupid, stupid people, grrr. Well I'm going to eat food.
05/23/04	8:45 PM I watched Shrek 2 last night. It was funny for the most part but not as good as I expected. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. What else did I do today? I went biking again and added more pics to my page under the album Ottawa May 23, 2004. It was really nice biking through Hull by the river. I couldn't figure out whether I'm staying at a beach resort surrounded by a city or a city that just happens to have a beach resort. Well, maybe not so much of a beach resort as a river. Yeah, so I biked for about an hour in Hull along the river. Biking was very beautiful. The paths are but right into the foresty areas right around in the river so you would never be able to tell that are actually within a city, it sure feels like the woods. So, I biked for about an hour, came home, then I went for a jog for half hour or so. All in all my knee held out, didn't have any problems, hopefully it stays that way for the rest of the summer, I hate being couped up without being able to get out and do stuff. Did I mention I joined a Volleyball legue? I'm playing beach volleyball for the summer, boyah. I think I'm going to watch the Last Samuria tonight, maybe I should get to that now since I'm tired. 05/22/04	11:06 PM Nothing exciting here. Just thought I'd mention what else I did tonight. I cleaned. Yes, yes I did. I vacuumed the entire house, even if I sucked at it. I swept the floor, maybe not enough to sweep you off your feet. I also mopped the floors, just like I do in Hell in the Cellar. He He He. Might watch Shrek 2 tonight, we shall see 8:45 PM Hey, the photosite is back up. I added the pictures from the Tulip festival and from my bike trip I went on today. So, last night, went to the tulip festival. The constantines were ok. Hawksley Workmen? Wow, that was intersting. Never really heard any of his songs other than striptease. I must say he is an Amazingly talented singer. Definetly a stage artist (thinking of you Little Lee). Yeah, his music wasn't quite my normal style, suppsoedly it's reather different than most of the stuff on his cd;s. But wow, he is an amazing performer. Yeah, performer. He's basically a one man stage show. So today I woke up around 11:11. Ate some food an bummed around till about 2. Then I went for a bike around places. Went down past the parliment. I also went were no Saskatchewan dares go. Yes, yes I did go there. I went into Quebec. At first I felt dirty and wrong. But after going through some of the internals I thought it was a very nice place. However, well I'm not french so I couldn't read a single sign or understand a single person. O well, what ya going to do. So I took some pics, check them out. Tonight not alot is on the plate, just going to chill and do some programming.
05/21/04	5:522 PM Well, Today was pretty good at work. I got alot done. I stayed about an hour longer and biked home. Well, Ididnt' biek all the way ohme, but I did mbike to the bus stop which took like 30 minutes. Then I came home and you'll never guess what i did. It all started easter weekend. I hand't shaved for about a week (since I'm lazy) then Danielle was gone so I thought that I better shave before she got back. so I did. And needless to say I haven't shaved since then. Why do you ask did I grow a beard? Well the reaasons are twofold. Number one, I'm lazy, Number two, I've never grown a beard, thought it would be a change. Number three, well being I'm in Ottawa for the summer and away from Danielle I thought I needed some girl repelent (since they flock to me like Jebus to rye). Yes, I do realize there are three reasons. Now this girl repelent beard, it works just a little to weel, I'm like uber girl depraved. So, what did I do? No, I didn't shave my beard off, silly people. But I did shave the moustacheo off. It kinda looks funy, I look more like myself now, but I look funny. O well. Tonight I'm going to see the Constantintes (dave will be proud) and hawksley workmen. Well, goign to veg for a bit.
05/20/04	11:59 PM Hello, ok I lied, it's 12:18, butI didn't want to miss a day, and technically I havn;'et gone to bed yet so it still counts. So today work was pretty good. I't sstarting to get better now since I've actually learned a hell of fa lot in the past three weeks. Tommorow I'm going to ried my bike at least part of the way home so I can have it here for the weekend. i was going to see glass tiger perform tonight but it was raining and an outside concert so I decided not too. However tommorow I'm going to see the Constantines and Hawksley Workmen. Then on monday I get to go see Wide Mouth Mason (I really cna't wait for that, I love them). I watched paycheck tonight, I thought it was a decent movie, worth a rental. Well, that is why I'm still awak, and know I only get like 5 hours of sleep, so off to bed I go right now, tty all later. 05/19/04	6:30 PM Hello everyone in internet land. Welcome back. Well, has anything happened that is interesting? As usual, No. But I'm sure I can rant on a little. O, just for you all to note. I get a special visitor next weekend. A little humble girl that live is Sarnia is coming to visit. I'm sure with her meak and minor maner we may just stay home and watch movies. Or. More likely will end up in jail by the end of the weekend. What can I say, I'm easily influenced :-). Or is it that I can easily influence? Well, I guess we shall see. So what other pointless thing have a thought up? Lets just say it's another idea down the toilet, or around it anyways. So, as far as I'm concerened, I think toilets (especially public ones) should have some sort of sound dampering. Like really, they are made of ceramic, the whole dang room is made of ceramic. And you wonder if it's going to echo? Duh. Washrooms should really have large amounts of fabric in them to coushin the sounds of gastration. Maybe even some nice classically music. I don't know about you but I can't think of a much better place to be than sitting on a toilet listening to classical music. If your going to be there for a while you might as well enjoy it. Just think of how long you spend in there in a day. Why not try to make it the most comforatable experience you could have. Maybe even have a tv screen on the back of the door so you don't have to miss that 5 minutes of (insert good tv show here) Batman. O, and I want a cup holder too, drinking water can do nothing but help the situation. Well that is enough potty mouth for now.

Your life has a purpose, dont' do it I love you. the sound of a airship can be heard in the background But Johnny, thereis somethign I have to tell you first. I'm Pregnant. Johhny Gasps But (says other preson) It's not yours, it's the pool boys. Johnny gasps again (Johhny) I knew he was up to something. (other person) But there's something else I have to tell you. The pool boy is an Alien and I'm going to his planet outside of Alpha-Centuria to live and start a new breed of super beings. Johnny leans forward. Now tune in for tonihgt episode. So what did I do tonight? well, I made myself supper. yes I did. But not a regular supper, I made myself a special supper. but was does this have to do with the mall you ask? (You better of asked otherwise you are just skimming and really don';t care about my ultra kewl life and going ons of me. and if your still reading this little sub-blurble then you must really be interested which will just overinflate my super-ego higher then it's ever been. And if your still reading know, your just bored as hell, go find something to do bory-boringson). So I bought the ingrediants for tonights supper (brought to you by Loblaws (not Extrafoods)). What did I have? Well I made myself a roast. Might I say A Dang good roast (he he, you though I was going to say damn. Dont' worry, if I would of I'm sure you woulnd't of filled your tear duct. You get it, huh huh, do ya, do ya?) And I also made some potatos and carrots, mmmm. That took like 3 hours to cook, so I had a late supper. After that I watched the old tube for like 45 minutes then played a computer game for about half an hour. Well that is probably all that I'm going to do for tonight. Tommorow on Brett's blog. Does Johnny jump? Where did the other person come from? Who is the person? And why don't I stop with this senseless gobldegook (yes htat is a real word, I just don't know how to spell it)? Well after work I stopped by the mall. What did I do there? I bought a cd. Yes, you heard me, I bought a commercial cd. Who was this cd of? Well there name is New Found Glory. They are a pretty good band and they released a new album today. So, I thought, why not, just buy a cd. So, without hearing it I did. When was the last time I bought a cd before this? Well that would be summer of 2001 I believe, just after I graduated (It was powderfingers album with the song My Happiness). So that is my contibution to the RIAA. What else have I been doing since I got home at work? and what else did I buy on my adventure to the mall? Stay tuned and find out in a few hours :-)
05/17/04	6:51 PM Well, as it was pointed out to me, I did miss a day. Io missed saturday the 15th. Tsk tsk, I am so ashamed at myself. Well,w hat did I do on saturday? Well, in the afternoon I went to see the movie Troy. I would have to give it a thumbs up and would encourage you go to see it on the big screen if your into the whole lord of the rings, big epic thing. Plus Bradd Pitt is just damn hot. Wo what did I do today? Well I got up and biked downtown cause I had a meeting. Wich was ok, but my knee was starting to hurt me. So anywho, I biked from downtown at noon to work and my knee was killing me, I hate bad knees, thx Dad. But I managed to get to work. But I wa there for liek two hours then I caught the bus home. I'm all pissed off ccause the shell on my helmet is cracked. I put it in my backpack and I don't know what the heck happened, but yeah, so know I have to buy a new freakin helmet. O, and the photo server was almost fixed, but then I broke it, and it needs to be restarted. but guess what, it's not here, it's in Saskatchewan. So I have to wait untill Mom and Dad get home before I can show you all the photos of the tulips I took, o well. Well goign to do some programming then maybe off to the store to buy more healthy food (chips I thnk).
05/16/04	10:23PM And to think, I amlost missed writing in my blog today. I havn'et missed a day since I got here, but today was pretty close, I was on my way to bed when I thought, hey, what about the blog. Well today I woke up around 11, made my self some dinner (which sonsisted of a tuna sandwhich). then I went to the mall and bought a cable or two (I think that was it) Then I walked to the bike place which took like 45 minutes. The guy wanted like 165 dollars for a working bike (he had told me 65 on the phone) so I was like screw that. So I walked all the way back (I planned to ride home). Then I got myt bus pass (I was foolish enough not to remeber to bring it when I went to look at the bike) and got on the buss headed for walmart. There was a bike at walmart for $99 on fri, however I didn't see it on Sat and it wasn't there todya. So I took the bus back up towards downtown and walked a couple of blocks to the canaidan tire. Wow, my spelling is really bad today, sorry about that folks, please try to bear with me. So I eneded up buying a bike from Canaidan Tire for like $125. It's pretty kewl ithad front shocks. So I rode that hoome but I forgot to tell them to raise the seat before I left so I biked home looking like a little kid. You knwo the kids Ialways get mad at and make fun of cause they are like riding a little kids bike and think they look all kewl (stupid kids). So I rode home whyich is about 6 K's away which was really tough on my calfs and my knees. So i got home, had some supper, then I went back out biking and took some pictures of the tulips along the river. i will post them tommorow night as I am going to bed now....
05/14/04	7:47PM You know how sometimes you take a real good crunch and then your whole house smells uber awful for like hours? Well it's happened to all of us. People install those fans in the washroom. Do they really help? I guess they do alittle but the smell still spreads a pretty good distance. I have a great idea. Why not install the fan inside the toilet? just think of it, blow all distgusting vapors away at the source of the problem. Sure, there is one or two design obstacles to overcome but I'm pretty confident that any decently smart person could figure out how to work around them (engineers excluded). So people, I want o you to push for your right. Call your mayor, call your MP, call the prime minister. Just get this idea going. think of how many realtionships could be saved. Perhaps this is the true cause of the numorous devorces in todays age. With all the fast, greasy food the smells are just getting worse, and the marriages are gettting shortage. So again, if you want to help save the ozone layer and your marriage think of the toliofan (patent pending) and force your hand. O, and speaking of the ozone layer the gases and other vapors could be conviently filtered into seperate entities. Just think, renewable energy. More methan gas then anyone could ever imagine. Another answer to the ever growing energy crisis. Perhaps the gases could even be blended with gasoline to give you that extra mile to the gallon. Hmm, now that I've ranted on about the toliofan (patent pending) perhaps I shoudl seriously consider it. What do you people think? Well, in other news. I went to work today. That makes a three day week, horah. Today after noon we played basketball for like an hour or two so I dind't even work all day. O, tommorow I'm probably going to go out and buy a bike. I found a guy selling used (not hot) ones for like 63 dollars. Mom is freakin however. Yes, biking is dangerous, but I've done it before, and I stick to the off-roads when possible. Well, going to try to work on my photosite for the rest of the night. It has been down for about a week if anyone has noticed. Adding a few new security measures (nothing you will notice) cause I've been hit by hackers and crackers lately. TTYL 11:33PM Might I just say tsk tsk tsk to all you people that had doubts about my toliofan(patent pending). I just happened to be reading slashdot (major neard online site) and cam across this. And you thought I was crazy. He He He. so, I thought, maybe this product already exists. So a quick google search and nope, not that I can find. 05/12/04	10:12AM So the question is, why am I not at work right now? Well lets start off with yesterday. I went to work, came home, nothing really interesting happened. That brings us to today :-). Well, I went to work and noticed that my computer had been shipped. So I'm thinking, I guess I'll stay home from work tommorow to get my computer. Then I tracked the package from fedex and checked where it was. It was in Memphis, TN at 2 AM this morning. Then I checked at 7:30, it was in New York. So I'm thinking, sweet, it will be here tommorow. Then I check and 8:40 and it's like "attived at FedEx Ramp in Ottawa, CA" And I'm like "o crap, I gotta go home" so I busted out of work and hiked to the highway (about 1 or 2 k's) then figured if I hurried I coud hit the bus 15 minutes earlier. So I ran from the corner about 2K to try to catch the bus. Nope, I must have missed it. So anyways I propped myself up against a post and waited. About 3 or 4 minutes later a car pulled up and slowed down. (Now, I know your going to freak out mom, but, well, your going to freak out). The person asked me if I wanted a ride into the city. So I jumped in. The person asked where I wanted to go. I said to the stop that's on the mainline, then I can take the quick bus home. So we started talking on the drive and we figured that we lived pretty close to each other. So rather than dropping me off I got taken right downtown. So who was this person? Just to show you how small the world (or city perhaps) is, she was a very nice elderly lady (well in her mid-late 60's) who happened to live right across the street from me. I can pretty much see the back of her house from where I live. Now what inspired an elderly lady to pick up a young man (who has a beard none the less) on the side of the road is besides me. But to live only like 200m away? That I tell you is wierd. Anyways, my computer should be here soon as it's on the truck (well was on an hour ago) so as long as I haven't missed it yet I should be typing from my new computer next time I blog. I would like to say Happy Birthday to the most amazing wonderful women I know (mother not included in comparision), Danielle. Your 20 today, damnit I'm no long dating a teenager. I am getting old, but hey, so is she :-)
05/11/04	5:56AM Morning all. I think I finally got my sleeping schedule in order, I woke up at 5:30 today and I still have lots of time, well 5 mins, to write in me blog. Eventually I might have to stop writing in the morning so I can get more sleep, I'm sure you'll all understand. Well, last night I watched Kill Bill Vol 2. I thought it was a pretty good ending to the movie. It was true what most people said, less killing more story. Wow, even had emotion. I'm not sure if it's worth regular theatre, but cheap theatre for sure. Good old cheap theatre, what would I do without you. Well, should go, don't want to miss the bus again, that sucks. 05/10/04	4:15PM Well, sorry for the long time between postings. So what has happened since the last time I was here? Well, I woke up on sunday morning around 11AM and we had no power (it was a scheduled outage) so I read for a bit. Then around 1 I went to the Rideu center and bought my self some sandles. Good sandles are hard to find. Can you believe the price that some people want you to pay. Some of them were $100-$200. I can't believe it, like what, did Jesus where them? Anywho, mine were only lik $30 but I think I like them, good old payless shoes. Then I walked downtown and bought me some more groceries. Came home, made a nice supper. Than after supper I went for a walk for about two hours. I started off on the canel and then went, well, somewhere (I really don't know). Hope mom doesn't read this cause she'd be like "OMG he's lost, call the police, call the police". Sorry Mom. Anyways after alot of walking I ended up at none other than the Parliment building. 05/09/04	2:00AM Well, first and formost for today I would like to say Happy Mothers day to my Mother. I love you. Thanks you for all you have givin me and for continueing love even if I put hell alot in my blog. Well, I just got back from the movies. When to see Man On Fire with Denzel Washington. It was ok, nothing great my any means. I would give it 2.5 out of 5. Worth a cheap theatre seat. Yeah, went out with a guy from work and two of his friends. Had a pretty decent time. Just got back about half an hour ago (the movie was about 2.5 hours). So, I have a general question. You know a chicken melt? How hot do they actually have to head the chicken to get it to melt? I mean honestly, if I tried to heat chicken that hot I'm sure I would burn it. Like, could you imagine if all meat could be melted? Now, I may be taking this from Luke, but liquid bacon. That would be pretty freakin kewl. Like, inject your roast with liquid bacon. Common kids, everybody's doing it. It could be the kewlest thing since spam or spork. MMMM, now that is a whole nother topic. Everybody knows that spam sounds like ham and well spork has the whole word pork in it, but really is there meat in that stuff at all? If there is, what's with the s's? Do they think it addes buyer appeal? Who would buy anything named spurger or spoutine? It sounds like somebody took your original item and added a little something extra, mmm, like spit. Hell, (sorry mom, I know you don't like that word) I could just go home, cook my own pig and spit on the baby for supper. Have you ever had homade spork? I just hope you know the cook. 05/08/04	1:00PM Ahh, it feels so nice to sleep in. I managed to get alot of sleep last night. I went to bed at 11 and got up at 10:30. That's right, 11 and a half hours of sleep, o yeah. I think I should do the same thing tonight. Sleep is so good. Well I don't think I'm going to that much today, maybe read a book. The weather is still kinda crappy here. Today there is supposed to be a high of 10, hurrah. Rain all week as well, how fun is that? O well, I'm sure in another week or so it's going to be so hot and I'm goig to be complaining. But that is unusual, me complaining? NEVER!!!! O, watched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon again today (I have seen the first 7 episodes of something like that). It's pretty decent but without the cornyness that was the original it just isn't the same. At least todays youth get to share in some of the kewl cartoons that we got to watch as kids. But what about the other goodies like Teddy Ruxpin ("Together again, Together again. We havent' been together since I can't remeber when, your more than a pal, your more than a friend. Your my dad and I'm glad, I'm your dad I'm glad. That your my friend") o what a classic, and Saved By The Bell, that rocked. Now it's Pokemon this Pokemon that. Pokemon sucks. Well, off to write an email or two and read a book.
05/07/04	5:27AM Well I was having my bowl of cereal this morning and I realized that today is friday (I think) which means I have completed a whole week of work. Wha hoo. This is good for several reasons the first being I get to sleep in!!! The second, is that I have already been gone for 1/15 of my leave. Only fourteen more to go. The Third good thing is that this week has flew by and I havne't even done any real work yet. This implies that I actually like what I do (or what I will be doing). YAY. 05/06/04	5:45AM Well another day is here. It seems like I've been here for weeks already, but I guess time seems to go real slow when you miss people. Anyways it's another early morning and I'm up. Have a good day all. 7:43 PM You know, me being a good ole Saskathewan boy in a big ole city like this, you think I would feel out of place. Well not really. Ottawa suprising enough, is just like Saskatchewan, except everything is bigger and has a different name. Take for example the animals around here. Now you would think in the middle of Ottawa what kind of wildlife are you going to see besides a few bums and a lot of punky teens? Well, turns out they have wildlife, tons and tons of them from what I can see. Yes, they have gophers. You people in Saskathewan probably never thought that all the way out here there are gophers. Like I said, I never thought there would be wildlife. But the gophers out here are massive. I mean they are fatter than Danielles cat, I mean MASSIVE. If these gophers were shot for there tails, well hell, you would only need one or two to make a freakin hat. Hell, you could probably feed the third world nations from just of a few of these massive animals. Oy. At first I was scared thinking that it was one of those nightmares where they spider (right Little Lee) or the chicken (Ash) or the cow come back to get you because you wronged it in your life. Well I sure as hell wasn't going to stick around and find out. And talk about bad lingo. The Ontario people know so little about livestock. Hell they call the gophers out here ground hogs. Like, I know they are huge and dig holes but a pig? Boy, if you took one of these damn Ontarioaioioions out to a real farm they couldn't identify a pig from a farmers wife. I think I've managed to offend almost everyone, especially the farmers (since when don't I take ever chance I get to do that:-) so I should be off for the night.
05/05/04	5:25AM Come one come all the circus that is my waking up. Oy, so my alarm clock goes off around 4:30, and I snooze (yay snooze button) for like 20 minutes. So what does this have to with anything? Well not alot except it really sucks because in order to get eight hours of sleep I have to bed by 8:30. Sure, your saying, but in the end it's the same as if you got up late it's just because your whole day is shifted. True enough. But 8:30?? It just seems so wrong, I feel so dirty. I haven't had to go to sleep that early since my parents put me to bed so they could have a couple of hours each night without me constantly bothering them. Well off to work I go in 30 mins. 6:08 PM Hey hey everyone. You'll never guess what I did. Think about what I've been telling everyone for the last two years. Well, it finally happened. I bought me a new computer. Yes, yes I did. I got a 1Ghz 12inch ibook with a 60GB hard drive, and aiport extreme. Not the fastest machine but for I'm used to it'll be blazing. It should get here in a weekish time (I had to order it on the internet). Well that is all for now :-)
05/04/04	5:39 AM EEEE, this is pretty early. I'm not sure if I want to get up this early for work everyday. It wasn't that bad waking up early but somehow I won't be suprised if I start nodding off at work, worst thing ever. You know, your trying to work, reading a book, and it's like, head bobbing and weaving, then you slowly fall out of your chair and hit the floor with a loud thud. thud Then suddenly you body starts convulsing in a wild seizure, hmmmm. Maybe I should get that looked at. People (in a slow and inquisitive voice) is it normal? Or do none of you get head bobs. Because if it is abnormal I might go get it checked out, maybe acupuncture. Ooo, Ooo (raising and shaking hand in air like a school kid) or maybe, maybe herbs. I could like smoke green grass. Wait, perhaps that is illegal here (not like in BC, ya, yah heard me). Anywho, Off to work I go (wissleing, wistling, wiseling, or something like that, you know, when you put your lips together and blow). 4:17 PM Well today was not very interesting. Got back from work around 2ish and my new roomy moved in. He shall be known as guy roomy, or groomy for short :-) Anywho, my groomy moved in so I'm not longer alone which is good, but I'm no longer by myself, which is bad. So things are well, groomified. Anywho, after I got home from work I went downtown to get me some fixins. I'm going to make myself some spagetti. On my walk downtown I was observing things. You know what is worse than a Saskatchewan driver, even worse than an Albertain driver, even worse then Luther food? Well, I bet you guessed it, My Cooking??? What, who said that. I am good cook, I swear. Don't make me feed you, grrr. Yes, Ontarian driver (see Nat that is why I said you could never ever ever drive my vehicle. It's not the insestious honking or the slamming of the breaks and the birds flying bye, it's the stupidity. Some people just don't realize that if the street in front of you is FULL of vehicles is full, then maybe, just maybe, your NOT going to fit stupid. But no, they just drive and drive (well more like crawl and crawl) into the intersection ruining everyone elses chance to get through the intersection. Grrrr. Damn Ontariotonians. That is all I got for now, I'm sure I'll be back in a couple (which oddly enough doesn't mean two to me, for me a couple is anywhere between 2 - 8ish. If I ask for a couple seconds I don't mean two, I mean enough for me to finish whatever the hell I am doing. Yes, a couple, maybe I should become a polygimist, maybe that's what this all means. What does it mean GOD what does it mean?
05/03/04	6:43 AM Well, my first day of work has arrived. Nicely showered and zestfully clean. Well, off to make some breakfast (cheerios oddly enough) and then I gotta catch da bus. 10:50 PM Well, I just got home from work. It looks likes it's going to be a really good job. I'm looking forward to it. Maybe I'll change my mind by the end of the weak, but hey, I guess you'll find out if you keep reading. Wow, so need to go to sleep, I think I have to get up at like 4 in order to go to work, eeee. Well at least I get to come home early tommorow, YAY. O, did I mention my mom is uber worried about me. You know, I think in the last three days I've typed uber like uber many times in my blog. Uberly Awsome. Uber is such a good word. It can be used in uber situation uberly mainy times even when its approriateness isn't very uber. It rivals only one word, and you all know which word I'm talking about. Uber with a capital Uber :-) He He He. O Ya, my mom us uber worried cause I'm not home, big suprise. But that's only cause she loves me, either that or she took out life insurance on me and is just trying to see if she can cash in. Well, going to make a phone call or two then off to bed. 05/02/04	Well it's 10:20 Ottawa time and I just woke up. Had a good 10 hour sleep. Then I made this webpage :-) so that people can know what I'm doing in Ottawa if they are interested. Now I'm off to ride the bus all day and find places in the rainy weather. I'm from Saskatewan, I ain't seen rain in years. Well, I actually havne't left yet cause I don't want to get wet, but know I think I'm going to go cause it stopped for now :-) O, and I uploaded the pics of my trip here and some pics of my apartment. 9:09 PM Well I got back from my journeys safe and sound. I rode the bus quite a bit and got off at a lot of wrong stops. O well, I think I got most of it figured out. I also walked from the main bus stop to my work. It took me a little over an hour since I had to walk like 7 kilometers one way. Needless to say I think I'm going to take the bus closer to work. Then on the way back it starting raining to beat hell. Luckily I was on the bus :-) Then I stoped at the food place, which oddly enough if called Loblaws. It's basically extra foods (ie presidents choice) with a different name, who'd a thought. Well then I made myself some super, a pizza pop (I bought 26 for when I don't feel like cooking) a small salad and an apple. That's right, it turns out that Brett actually is health concious when he has to buy his own stuff (which has never ever happened before now). I would say that is the most well balanced meal (besides the pizza pop) that I have had in over 3 years. Who knows, maybe when I get back I will be uber in shape muscle boy. Or maybe I just won't die at the age of 30. We shall see. Well then I watched the simpson, quasi funny. Should go to bed soon, mmmm sleep, I just might need it for my first day of work tommorow. 05/01/04	Well, I did a bit a flying today. Haven't flyed since I went to disneyland when I was like 10 (in 92). So this was an experience for me since I really didn't know what to expect. Well it was ok. I took a little 50 passenger Dash-8 from Saskatoon to Calgary. It was rather loud since I sat right beside the propeller. My ears kept popping but it wasn't too bad. Once I got to Calgary I emailed my mother just to let her know I got there, cause she's my mother and she does nothing but worry about her kids. Then I got on a boing 737 (I think) and flew all the to Ottawa. I was in an isle seat so I didn't get to see that much. But it was cloudy anyways so no that much to see. Hit a little bit of turbulence, but it wasn't that bad (or so I think). Then it took me like 20 minutes to get my luggage and off for a cabby I went. The cabby drove me the the uni where I am staying. Had the regulary cabby talk, weather and such. Then I tried to find the housing office and it was like a block away and three stories up and I didn't want to haul a 60 pound box, a suitcase, and two carry-ons that far. So I managed to leave my stuff in some nice girls place. Went and got my keys then came back. Then I sat and chatted with the girl who's place I left my stuff in for like half an hour. Interesting enough she is from Vancouver and leaving on May 4th, so that was an effort to make a friend in vain. Then I moved my stuff in and got everything organized. I will take some picks of my place and put it up on the photosite. Then I was bored and like, hmm, I wonder when one of my roomates will be home. But I ended up just going for a walk and happened to find the Rideau center (however you spell that). I'm telling ya, UBER kewl mall. It's like huge. So I went and had A & W for supper, since I didn't know where the grocery stores were, and I bought a pillow from Sears for $15 (Ya, something to sleep on). When I got back nobody was home yet and I stunk from all that heavy lifting (it was like 23 degrees out). So I decided to take a shower. Once I finished I heard somebody else in the apartment (which I knew would happen as soon as I stepped in the shower). So, I met my roomy with my towel on. Her name is Meg (or Meagan I think, never really asked). So we talked and she seems like a real nice person, however she is leaving tommorow for like a week, so I'm not sure if I'll have anyone other than me here for a week. She took me on a tour of downtown. Saw the Rideau center and Rideau street, a place to find groceries, a place to find alcahol, and a place to party (what more is there in a city), o, and a place to catch busses, that one helps too. So then we got back here after a long walk and watched a movie (which I almost fell asleep in like 10 times, how unusual). Then I went to bed, mmmmm sleep.
